Dr. Jennifer Faison Kelly (“Dr. Jenn”) received the 资本 University Cotterman Award for exceptional service to students through advising in 2007. She is currently a university Master Advisor and helps students successfully matriculate through the university. She is past department chair for the Health and Sport Sciences 部门 as well as past interim chair of the 教育 部门. Dr. Jenn has been a member of the South-Western City Schools Community Advisory Group and has served on numerous Ohio 部门 of 教育 advisory councils and boards related to physical education, 健康教育, and clinical experiences. She has been instrumental in strategic planning related to social justice and diversity on numerous state, 中西部, and national organizations. 目前, she serves as an active board member of the Central Ohio Big Brothers Big Sisters African American Advisory Board, the Columbus Africentric K-12 Early College Advisory Board, and the National Association of Holmes Scholars Alumni Board. She has presented internationally in Brazil, 坦桑尼亚, and Australia about effectively educating individuals with disabilities. Her collaborative grants have impacted underserved populations, students in urban settings, and refugees in the areas of literacy tutoring and education.
